Notary Tax Help

www.eliteplus.biz is a very good website for “free tax information for notary/loan-signers.” What expenses can be claimed as a Notary Public? We are independent contractors. With our Notary Public business there are many tax advantages and expenses that Notaries can claim. Since Notaries are considered public officials, we are not subject to self employment tax on the amount we charge for each Notary signature or Notarial act. Each state has different ways we can charge for Notary signatures or Notarial act and this depends on individual state law. |

We are all lucky to also have a resident, veteran LSA that you can hire and/or consult with – Wendy Waits. She’s licensed and experienced – here’s her personal email: Eyeore@aol.com I can’t tell you how much she’s helped me this year plus she’s a great lady. Kelly Kelly@SigningAgentCoach.com |

Thanks for the info Joan. Deserves to be reposted tax time each year. I’m a late filer. My accountant called me April 1 confirming I’d be asking for an extension. LOL Myra ~ www.KosakSigningService.com |
