Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Notary Depot and our services.
1. What is Notary Depot?
Notary Depot is an online directory designed to help individuals and businesses quickly find local notaries public across the United States. Whether you need a notary for real estate documents, legal papers, or general notarizations, you can search by city, state, or ZIP code to connect with a trusted professional near you.
2. How do I contact a notary listed on your site?
Simply use the search tool to browse notaries in your area. Each notary's profile includes their contact information, location, and services offered. You can reach out directly to schedule an appointment or inquire about availability.
3. Is it free to use Notary Depot?
Yes! Searching for and contacting notaries is completely free for users. Notaries can also create a free listing to promote their services. Optional paid upgrades are available to notaries for more visibility.
4. How do I get listed as a notary on Notary Depot?
Click the "List Your Notary Services" button at the top of the site and fill out the form with your contact information, credentials, and service areas. Once submitted, your profile will be added to the directory, making it easier for clients to find and contact you.
5. Can I offer mobile or remote notary services?
Yes! Many of the notaries on Notary Depot offer mobile services, and some also provide remote online notarization (RON), depending on state laws. Be sure to indicate in your profile if you offer these options so clients know what to expect.
6. Are notaries verified by Notary Depot?
We encourage all notaries to list accurate, up-to-date information. We do not verify commission status. We recommend clients confirm the notary's commission status through their state's notary public database or by asking to see credentials during an appointment.
